I got my creative start in my 20s in Milwaukee designing trade show graphics before moving west to San Diego and shifting my focus to apparel design. After a decade of work behind a computer in offices and cubicles I decided to change scenery and pursue my lifelong hobby of photography on a professional level. The last few years have been extremely rewarding for me and I have gotten to work with some awesome brands in some incredible locations all over the world.
Volunteering has been an important aspect of my life and I have spent time capturing photos and creating graphics for nonprofit organizations in Haiti, Costa Rica, Panama and Africa. I am currently on the board of directors for the NGO New Beginnings who operates out of Kibera, Kenya – one of the worlds largest slums, and really enjoy donating my time and skill to projects that benefit humans and animals in need.
Occasionally I will find myself on the other side of the lens and have been featured in a handful of retail catalog campaigns as well as a national television spot. I love being outside and the sea and the mountains are places of great importance and inspiration to me. I enjoy rebuilding and restoring old cars and motorcycles and enjoy putting my hands to work on projects. My partner Kellie is a registered travel nurse and we travel often and over the last five years have lived in Colorado, Washington, Florida, Oregon, California and Guam.
